Jesus, God's Son

What makes Christmas, Christmas, is that God became a Man. Even the demons recognize who Jesus is. In Jesus' hometown those who thought they knew Jesus growing up and His family, took offense at the notion that Jesus was the Messiah. Christmas is not just about a baby, but a baby who is God's Son. Jesus is not just the Son of David, He is David's Lord, the Son of God. Jesus would have been lying if He did not proclaim that He is God's Son. The goal of Christmas is our salvation. It is possible to know the truth and not surrender to it. Even though the demons knew who Jesus is, they were not eager to obey Him, they did not love Him. Where does your obedience come from in your relationship to God? We are to be greatful to God for what Jesus did on the cross. We should want to please God for the love He showed to us. Salvation is about a relationship of love with Jesus.
