The Promise in Isaiah

95 ( 54 | 41 )

Just as many are anticipating the day of Christmas, many were anticipating entrance of the Messiah. In the Old Testament Book of Isaiah, we see promises about Jesus, that He would come to rule as King and that He would offer His life as a sacrifice for our sins so that we can be part of His Kingdom. When we share the good news of Jesus, we are not trying to build a winning team, we are called to tell people that they can be reconciled to a Holy God. When we recognize our sin, we receive Him as who He is, the King who requires us to yield our lives to Him. Jesus is Lord and the government will be on His shoulders. Being born again is not the goal, it is the means. It is the means by which we enter the Kingdom. The goal is being in the Kingdom where Jesus Christ is the King. The reign of God is secure and is not hindered by our rebellion. Just because God does not stop us from doing the wrong things, does not mean He approves of the wrong things we do. God offers us terms of peace, not because He is surrendering to our agendas. Jesus demonstrated the power of God in an amazing way. He demonstrated glimpses of fellowship with the Father. The goal is not just forgivness, but it is needed to accomplish the goal of being with Him forever. God said He would make us one with Him. God wants a relationship with you that trancends all others. Go to God's word and ask Him to meet with you, take Him at His word, and He will become more real to you than those you see around you. Jesus came so that we can be saved, not just forgiven. God became a Man so that we could be part of His family.
