An Amazing Introduction

In the genealogy of Jesus, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Matthew skips some generations. However, God wanted certain stories in the scriptures, like those of Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, Solomon's mother and other sinners. No matter who our ancestors are or how bad things had been in the past, God sent Jesus to save sinners and He wants people like us as His children. We need to find our identity in Christ. God loves us and wants us as part of His family. We are all sinners and Jesus came to save sinners.
