Zeal For God's Temple

Have you ever considered the following things about the story of the cleansing of the temple from John 2?

• That the things that Jesus was removing from the temple were things that the priests, the merchants and the people all liked and which made their worship easier and more convenient?

• That after he cleansed the temple and reformed the worship according to the bible, they brought all these popular conveniences back and Jesus had to cleanse the temple again a few years later?

• That Jesus himself is the REAL temple and that the Temple in Jerusalem was just a sign, type, or copy that pointed forward to him?
