Jesus Christ - Mediator, Sacrifice and Intercessor

We learn that among his other duties the central role of the priest was to "..offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins." The Priesthood of Jesus Christ therefore superseded and perfected that begun by Aaron, in that what before was a shadow, was brought into light by Christ. Christ fulfilled the earthly priesthood, as He was the Mediator, the Offering, and the Intercessor.
