The Clothing of Our Calling

The multitude and worth of God's grace towards us cannot be measured. As the Apostle Paul considered the "exceeding grace of God" in the believers in Corinth, he exclaimed "Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift" (2 Corinthians 9:14-15). In our text the Apostle Peter remind us that our Lord calls us to responsibly appreciate and use this God's gift of grace to glorify Him and to edify His redeemed people. Thus our words, actions and attitudes should reflect our calling as beloved children of our triune God.
