When Paul says “remember Jesus Christ” – as preached in my gospel, he includes two things for us to remember.

He says remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, the offspring of David.

The resurrection and the incarnation are the two things that Paul wants you to remember. And when he speaks of the incarnation, he focuses especially on what it means for Jesus to be the “offspring of David.” In Jesus, God has remembered David, and he has done what he promised to David...
