The Kingdom in Zechariah
Series Zechariah
1,317
Dr. John Whitcomb says that Zechariah is "one of the most difficult books of the Bible," calling it, "a precious reminder that we have a God Who remembers." This prophet came late in the history of Old Testament Judah to encourage the nation in the rebuilding of the Temple and remind them of God's eternal purpose -- even though they had lost sight of His Theocratic program. Dr. Whitcomb shows from this great but often forgotten book that, since God will keep His promises to Israel, He will also keep His commitment to us in the church and will never fail His people. "Of all the Old Testament books," comments Dr. Whitcomb, "Zechariah remains the most obscure, and thus the most neglected of all."
