Living in the Light of His Return

Blessings friends... can I give you a little primer for your time spent reading with us through our Nesting with Jesus?

Thessalonians is such a tremendous help to me... I love these letters from Paul written to the growing disciples in Thessalonica? It's a great tool that reminds us of the importance of keeping our eyes of faith on Jesus, our ears of faith open to His word and our heart of faith resting upon the promise of His return.

I find the theme of His return weaved through every chapter. (Every chapter teaches on His promised coming... 1:10 ; 2:19 ; 3:13 ; 4:13-18 : 5:23). I have adopted this phrase, "Living in the light of His Return" as a motto that I've attempted to live by and teach my family and friends, wherever we've been on the journey of faith. And I pray it will help each of you, as you walk in faith with Him.

Something else Paul states pretty clearly in this letter is the divine reality that the word God is only effective in those who believe its message. He says, the word of God is ONLY effective for those who believe. I encourage you to take note to how Paul emphasizes this phrase, "who believe" (1:7 ; 2:10 ; 2:13).

Don't miss that fact that believers are example to other believers...(1:6-7) or another way of saying, followers are examples of followers!
