Strife of the Two Natures

The Apostle Paul tells of his personal experience in doing what he hates and not doing what he loves. He shows that there is a continuing conflict with the flesh (the fallen nature) and the inner man throughout one's life after being born from above. Finally he shows that the victory is realized in Jesus Christ only. This looks forward to the first resurrection and the adoption, to wit: the redemption of the body. In the meantime, with the mind Paul (and we) serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.
