Historical Interpretation – Rules 18-20

Scripture must be interpreted in its historical context. The Hebrew & Greek Scriptures (Old & New Testaments) are two parts of a unified whole. God is immutable and therefore the same in both sections. Historical facts or events are only symbols of spiritual truth if revealed to be so by the Scriptures themselves.
