The Marvelous Merge

36

This psalm is so major relative to sound spiritual health. This sermon is about the divine attributes of lovingkindness, faithfulness, and righteousness merging into divine judgments that are "a great deep". What is startling about this passage is for one thing the "righteousness" ascribed to God here is a righteousness that He himself conforms to, or we ccould even say submits to. More remarkable still is the phrase "Thy judgments are a great deep..." is referencing salvation initiatives (undoubtedly Paul had this passage in mind when he wrote Romans 11:33-36--"Oh, the depth of the riches, both of the wisdom and knowledge of God, how unsearchable are His judgments....") such as "fullness of God in a helpless babe"...such as Christ appearing first of all from the tomb to Mary Magdelene out of whom he cast seven demons...that is a great deep! As is the way Christ refers to the scattered eleven disciples--"go tell my brethren"---What? These are really the "brethren of the second person of the Godhead! That is a great deep. This psalm is here to spiritually hydrate you. Drink up!
