Immanuel's Land
Series The Gospel According to Isaiah
239
Menaced by Syria and Samaria, ravaged by Assyria, threated by apostasy within, Judah had only one hope - Immanuel. Because Judah was Immanuel's land, and had Immanuel's people within, the nation would not be destroyed. Instead the destruction would distinguish Immanuel's people from those who were not his people, and his foes would go from darkness into darkness.
