The Christmas Story: Joy and Weeping

At Christmas we sing about a “weary world” rejoicing. The Christmas story is about having joy in the midst of weary weeping and sorrow, possessing joy under the shadow of death because of the light and life that has overcome and will endure because of Jesus Christ, God with us. Let us sing together as lonely exiles here: “O Come, O Come, Immanuel…Death’s dark shadows put to flight…and close the path to misery.”
