Thou Shalt Not Kill

The sixth commandment is the end of sin - sin when it is finished bringeth forth death; the wages of sin is death. Breaking this commandment is the sum of breaking all the other commandments. Capital punishment and self-defense are not murder and not a violation of this commandment, but rather the keeping of this commandment.
