Brightness of the Father's Glory

The Truth which I want to declare to this morning is this. All of the glorious attributes and perfections which are in God the Father; in His nature and in the glorious essence of His being; they are only revealed savingly to men through their first coming to behold the glory of Jesus Christ His Son. The Father has purposed that the Son reveal everything about Him that He would have made known. This was the purpose of the Incarnation, and of God's sending His only-begotten Son into the world. It was; that by these mighty acts of His appointment, that the truth about His own greatness, holiness, and goodness, might be seen perfectly displayed in Christ. In the Incarnation of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, the Father would reveal the greatness of His eternal mind and heart. So, 1st of all this morning, we want to behold Christ as being the brightness of the Father's glory. And then, 2nd, we want to behold the glory of Christ in that He is the Express Image of the Father.
