Christ Has Come in the Flesh

Opposition to Christ is not only expressed in people's rejection of Christ but in their misrepresentation of Christ. The spirit of Antichrist is more subtle than blatant opposition – it is the cunning replacement of the truth of Christ by a lie. It is not the outright denial of the ‘Coming of Christ' but the twisting of the truth of His coming so that the real incarnation of Jesus Christ is utterly denied. It is the denial of the Son and therefore of the Father also. Our acknowledgment of the Son assures us that we ourselves are now from God and have been brought by the Holy Spirit into all the truth. It also confirms both our participation in the eternal life of the Father and of the Son and our present victory over evil in spite of its power to deceive.
