Christmas - Holding Up a Person I Timothy 3:15-16

These verses give us one of the greatest images of the church and the ministry of Word of God to be
found in the New Testament.

The church is a pillar holding up the person of Christ.

His Manifestation-He appeared in a body.
“And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us. . .” (John 1:14)

“And being found in appearance as a
man . . .” (Philippians 2:8)

“Since then the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same. . .” (Hebrews 2:4)

His Vindication “Who was declared the Son of God with power by the resurrection from the dead,
according to the spirit of holiness,
Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 1:4)

His observation by Angels and proclamation to the Gentiles.
“In order that the manifold wisdom
of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and
authorities in the heavenlies.” (Ephesians 3:10)
