What is our Worship Service Saying? Michael Spotts (a pastoral intern at Oceanside United Reformed Church) in a recent FB post, asks some very good questions about what our worship service is saying. Here are some of the questions he raises: Do outsiders sense “reverence and awe” in our gatherings before God? Does our service conform to Scripture or is worship marred beyond Biblical recognition by human inventions? Is the atmosphere and presentation driven by popular and commercial conventions? Is it packaged to appeal to worldly cravings more than to nourish faith with the Word?... those are all good questions, I will comment on them on the broadcast today.
