Guarding Yourselves With Gratitude

This is our Thanksgiving Day service

Thanksgiving in Scripture always has a context, a connection. Often it is connected to prayer. Here, it is connected to spiritual vigilance -- "watch in the same with thanksgiving."

There are enemies to our holiness against which we must guard; sins in family life, sins of the tongue, sins of anxiety and ingratitude. The guardian is biblical thanksgiving.

What is thanksgiving? True thanksgiving? In everything, for everything, always, and ultimately, for what we have in Christ.
