The Transforming Power of the Gospel

This sermon was preached at the close of the meeting at which Miss Margaret Russell gave her report on the missionary work in Kenya.

There is a significant connection between the events of these verses in Mark ch 5 and the closing verses of the previous chapter. At the close of the previous chapter there is the raging storm upon the sea. The Saviour manifests that He is the bringer of peace to realm of nature. Immediately after that, there is recorded a different type of a storm that rages in the life of this demoniac of Gadara.

Christ equally manifests Himself to be the bringer of peace to the spiritual realm, to the heart and life of this poor demented man.
