Why America Must Remain a Democracy

As any student of American history shold know, America is not technically a democracy. However, as a practical matter we have abandoned the foundations of a representative republic. Why is this so? As Pastor Weaver deals with Hosea 1 we see that as leaders forsake truth and righteousness and pander to the whims of unregenerate men, a nation cannot remain grounded upon the biblical ideal of the rule of law. Rather, we become enslaved to the desires of men. Until believers cry out for justice in every area of life we will remain in bondage to men instead of enjoying the true freedom that an adherence to Biblical Law affords.
