Standing Strong In The Last Days

INTRO: Recently, my son-in-law drove us to Edmonton to a doctor's appointment for my wife. And as we were coming back, I said, "This year I've had a more difficult time coming up with a subject for a message on New Year's day. It is traditional for us to have a service on New Year’s and usually I challenge you to something like reading through the Bible, or some subject on the significance of days or such like. But this year I struggled. And as we drove they gave me various ideas. Let me give you some of those: What does it mean to live right? Seeking the truth; Sunday morning Christians; Standing fast in the last days and Living in perilous times. I began to memorize Ephesians 6:1020 and decided to speak on that and then I found I could call it, “Standing Fast (or strong) In The Last Days”, and that it included most of the other ideas. Our passage is Ephesians 6:10-20, and so I invite you to turn to that passage.
