Mary - An Example of Faith

Messages from heaven, angels and dreams led up to the great event of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. His was a supernatural birth, in that He was born to Mary, who scripture tells us was a virgin. Mary's faith involved believing what the Lord had told her. She may have asked why me?; but her response to the message from the angel Gabriel, accepting that there would be a fulfillment, indicated both faith and belief. We too should believe the Lord's message, and that whatever He has said will be fulfilled.

Mary is an example to us of believing that what the Lord has said will come to pass. It did not exempt her from suffering but, through faith, we too may find the grace of God, just as she did.
