Forever Father

The deepest need of humanity is to be restored to the security of being under God's great and holy Fatherhood. There is no richer experience for believers than to receive by the Spirit the revelation of their sonship in Jesus Christ as those upon whom the Father has lavished His great love.
The mysterious promise then, in Isaiah 9:6, of a son who will be called 'Everlasting Father' could hardly be comprehended until the birth of this child who would reflect the Father in all He said and did. In Jesus, we see the Father, at great cost, freely delivering us from the terrible darkness of trusting in anything or anyone rather than Him and bringing us home as endlessly loved children restored to the enduring joy of true obedience.
The great King has come and set us free from the things that enslave into the tender but strong love of the Father.
