Angelic War in Heaven

The woman, Israel, is opposed by the devil who is pictured as a red dragon. He is seen by John as having seven heads. These emphasize that it is the devil who is the evil power behind the major powers that have impacted Israel in past history. The angelic war in heaven behind those angels who rebelled with Satan and the holy angels results in the evil ones loosing access to heaven. Being thrown out they turn with even greater intensity in bringing trouble and terror on the earth, especially targeting the nation of Israel. Such events God will use to bring His chosen nation to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Such salvation of Israel the devil works relentlessly to prevent as that will be followed by Jesus Christ setting up His kingdom on the earth and Satan loosing his dominance over the earth and is cast into hell.
