Peter's Exhortation to Elders

The pastor shepherds God’s sheep not with rigor and severity, but with love and humility; not as temporal lords but as spiritual guides, especially by example. They shepherd not by their own laws but by Christ’s laws and not for their own honor and glory, but for the honor and glory of Christ and His kingdom.
