Love not the world

There are things that it is right and good to devote ourselves to. To have the kind of passionate love for that we would be willing to die for…for our LORD, for our brothers and sisters…but, on the other hand…there are things that are not only not worth dying for…they are not worth living for.
This is what John is Inspired to address. The things of this world. This world system. The world that rejected God’s Son. The world that seeks to remove and presence of GOD and His Son from our minds.
This fleeting and faltering world is not to be the seat of our passions or desires.
Here we find a warning against having our affections in the wrong place.
If there wasn’t an inclination to do so…the Holy Spirit wouldn’t have had John to warn us against it!!!!
