God's Grace to Ruth

The story of Ruth is the story of every redeemed sinner who, without claim, covenant, or promise finds mercy, grace and love from God.

Matthew includes 5 women in the genealogy of Jesus - he does this with intent that we should consider the stories that have led up to the entry of God's Son into the world. It is a story of redemption, a story of forgiveness, a story of foreigners made brides.
