Christ's Exaltation: His Example

After showing Christ's humiliation as God who became man and willingly suffered in obedience unto death on the cross (Phil 2:6-8), Paul records in Phil 2:9-11 the Father's response in vindication and approval of His Son: Exaltation as Lord.

Our response, then, in part, should be to heed Christ's example and supreme illustration of the principle that both He and the Scriptures taught: "Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time." (1 Peter 5:6)
