Plan #1 = Trusting in your own works
This plan fails!

It doesn't work! Trusting in Works Can Never Save!
Reason # 1 - Relying on works of the law leaves me under God's curse. – v10
Reason # 2 - Only faith makes me right with God and the law is not faith. – v11-12a
Reason # 3 - I don't obey the law perfectly so it can't give eternal life. – v12b

1. Christ fulfilled the law in His life, yet submitted to its curse in His death.
2. Christ frees those who believe from the demands and curse of the law having experienced the rejection they deserve.
