Born King of the Jews

We continue the Advent theme, and Grant speaks about the escape of Mary, Joseph and Jesus to Egypt, and their return to the lowly city of Nazareth.

The threat to Jesus and the protection he was given show that hostilities between Christ and Satan have already begun. Then, the fulfilment of various Scriptures show that Israel's origins, and her sufferings, and the obscurity of her Messiah all have their fulfilment in the birth of Jesus. The world is about to see God establish the hope and future of his people.
