Walking by Faith in the Land of Promise

Driven by the promises of God, Abram sets out for the land of promise. His journey is one of walking by faith and not by sight—a faith that's tested all along the way, yet proven genuine by his faithful obedience to God's commands. As he arrives in Canaan, he doesn't just survey the land, but communes with God and again receives assuring promises of what's to come. With godly zeal and boldness, Abram builds altars and worships the Lord, thereby claiming the land as God's own possession. This man's faith, obedience, and devotion light the path for all who belong to God through Jesus Christ, the Son of Abraham. May each one of us learn what it is to walk by faith and not by sight as we await the appearance of our great God and Savior!
