How long, O Lord, how long? Centuries later, God's promise of a son to David remains unfulfilled - how long? Psalm 89 expresses the longing for that king, and is a model for us how to express our longings to God. We have a promise, too, that Jesus is coming. The Church has been waiting for almost two millennia, and so we also cry, "How long, O Lord, how long?"
