Rest Assured, Love Never Fails

In verses 11 and 12, the author now points to the future, beseeching and imploring the beloved to continue in their love for God, so that they may have overflowing and abundant certainty of God’s love toward them every single day, to the last heartbeat. This future-oriented faith in God’s love is called “hope”. Hope is believing that His Love for us today is the same tomorrow and forever.
