Judgment, Desolation and the Coming of the King

Embed

The incarnation of the Lord Jesus Christ is the most incredible event of history. Nothing compares with the miracle of the thrice Holy God stooping to become man, even sinful man, to redeem a rebellious people for Himself.

Yet, the full meaning of the incarnation is often missed especially in the midst of Christendom and the secularization of the season attached to Christ's first advent.

Like so many other doctrines of the post modern, self-consumed church, the scope of the incarnation has been eclipsed by notions of the “self”.

The incarnation has often been reduced to address only the individual's means to heaven without regard to the comprehensive global exaltation which was secured by the Word becoming flesh.

This lecture continues to look beyond the event of the incarnation itself, to the reason secured by Christ's entrance into the realm of history.
