While skeptics and theological liberals often claim that resurrection was a case of the Apostles “deluding themselves” into believing that something that didn't happen, happened, Paul clearly tells us that the resurrection of Christ was a fact authenticated by many witnesses and that it is this real event that is central to the Christian faith. He warns that it is the people deluding themselves that Jesus hasn't risen from the dead who are in terrible peril.
