Those Who Are Ready, Those Who Are Not Ready

Jesus began His day delivering the Parable of the Wedding Garment. He closed the day delivering the Parable of the Ten Virgins. They have one message. In the former, the guest without the wedding garment was cast out. In the latter, the virgins without oil were not permitted in. The "virgins" represent religion. The "oil" represents the Holy Spirit. Jesus declared to His religious generation they would not be permitted into God's kingdom.
