Fear & Faith under Persecution

At the beginning of Exodus we encounter a king of Egypt who did not know nor appreciate the Semite saviour of Egypt, Joseph, nor his people who had settled there. In fact, he felt threatened by their numbers, and endeavoured to destroy their spirit and reduce their numbers. We see how the fear of God and faith towards God delivered His people:
