In the Young Restless and Reformed community, there are thousands of young Neo-Calvinist, Neo-Reformed who are following some pastors and leaders of what is being called the "hipster" churches that are the by-product of churches like Mark Driscoll's failed Mars Hill church.
These churches, pastors, and leaders are very theological and doctrinally astute. They are very concerned with getting the meanings of Scripture right. They hold strongly to Reformed precepts and Calvinistic Nomenclature.
But just like some of the Reformers whom we love, they also are fast to abandon their own Regulative Principle and Steadfast Grammatical, Historical, Hermeneutical approach at Biblical interpretation when those principles of interpretation conflict with their own thoughts, opinions and/or liberties

There is a Biblical approach to understand Drug and Alcohol addictions and how to defeat it.
According to the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors, which trains Christians in Nouthetic Counseling and aids those with addictions to win the fight against their particular sin issue.
The first issue that we must address is one of the definitions. According to the A.C.B.C. The Scriptures identify Addiction as A Moral Problem, Not a Disease. It is Idolatry, and Pride at its core.
