Reasons for writing

There are a number of reasons listed here for why our brother is writing this letter.
In fact, these are good reasons to write a letter.
This list is a great reminder and a challenge of what we have been given in Christ.

This is to be an encouragement.
To assure those addressed of some of what they have in Christ.
I will remind you that this is a book of assurance…we can walk away from this book, more sure that we have eternal life…and what that life includes.
