The Compassionate Shepherd

Rather than a man of passion, Christ is a man of compassion. He came not to be served nor to live a life of pleasure, but to serve and give His life a ransom for many. He is the Good Shepherd, who laid down his life for the sheep. Furthermore, His followers can be identified by their compassion for those in need. The outline of the sermon is as follows:
I. Unlike Herod, He is the compassionate king
II. He is compassionate toward those in need
III. His compassion identifies one who follows Him
