God’s Aseity

This morning we study a little known, and even less understood quality or attribute of
God: Divine Aseity (from the Latin a se, which means from Himself or of Himself). It is
this quality of God that allows us to look forward in hope as we begin a new year. It is
this characteristic of God that gives us the strength to stand firm even when life is falling
apart. This is why good theology leads us to heartfelt doxology.
