Meditating on God

After praying for God to revive His work in the midst of the years, Habakkuk meditated on the character and works of God. Who is this God Habakkuk saw? He is a God of splendor who has displayed His glory in the heavens. He is a God of pure Light and a God who hides His power. He is a God of pestilence and plague. He is sovereign over the nations and His ways are from everlasting. He does not change. He is a God who crushes the proud. He is the Creator of all things and the Judge of all men. He is a warrior who defeats His foes with His weapons and tramples them underfoot. He is a God who saves His people from their enemies. Behold your God. Worship Him in Spirit and in truth.
