"Coming Home"

John 14:1-3

Introduction: home, home, sweet home

1. Are you troubled?
   a) Our hearts can be troubled

   • the world system
   • the devil has no sympathy
   • our flesh
   • our own individual Christian hearts and personalities. Our conscience.
     b) Greek word: severe mental or spiritual agitation
     c) Another level the disciples were facing
     d) The only thing to soothe a troubled mind
     e) We must prepare our hearts beforehand

2. Is your place prepared?
   a) "For what is your life? Is it even a vapour?
   b) Don't live in denial
   c) The significance and comfort of "the Father's house"
   d) Beyond your wildest expectations

3. Are you coming home?
   a) A prepared place for a prepared people
   b) Brides and weddings
   c) Are you preparing yourself?
   d) For us, death is being home with Jesus
