The testimony of the Old Testament saints being used as examples of people who lived by their faith in God and what He had spoken demonstrates the very definition of faith. Noah is one such individual whose faith acted in obedience to God's commands even though he did not fully comprehend all that God would be doing in bringing judgment on his ungodly world. Nonetheless he proclaimed the judgment to come and lived his life faithful and obedient in the face of antagonism from his ungodly world, confirming their condemnation. Noah was a man declared righteous by God as he believed the promises He had given and his life was directly influenced by God and His word.
