What Does it mean to Be a Christian, Are You Abiding in Christ?

So I guess we need to look at the fruit or evidence, after all James said James 2:14–18 So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.
So where is your list?
Maybe the fruits of the Spirit: Galatians 5:22–23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.Ephesians 5:9 So what else should we look for in our list of evidences that we are Christian? How about these:
Love the Lord with all my heart soul mind strength.
Love my neighbor as myself?
Give half of everything that I own to the church.
Make a Nazerite vow to God and serve Him faithfully for the rest of my life?
Obstain from any and all lust, sin and wickedness?
- how about if I have much knowledge about God and Scripture?
- have great and eminent spiritual gifts
