  1. The context:
    The apostle exhorts the Corinthians that the question they should be asking concerned the evidences of grace in themselves rather than a proof of his own apostleship - they already had every reason to know that the apostles themselves were not reprobates.

Lessons:

  1. We are more ready to sit in judgment on others than to judge ourselves.
  2. A true believer may question whether he is in the faith.
  3. It is possible to know that we are in the faith.
  4. Members of the visible church are either in the faith or out of it.
  5. The marks of being in the faith.
