our Surety Puts Away Sin

Humanity is separated from God by a rebellious heart and a false sense of personal righteousness. They look upon their sin and expect God to forgive them in unlimited grace; the law has been broken and atonement is so costly, it is beyond the reach of carnal flesh. Even true believers sometimes forget the cost of their redemption; they forget that God must be holy, and that the only perfect atonement gives peace to the awakened soul. God spares our souls at a vast expense, His own Son freely delivered up for us all; He displays His grace in Christ to each of the true elect.
