The Victorious Life of Obedience

The conflict in our lives is between love (selfless giving) and lust (selfish grasping). Satan has defiled God's perfect order (cosmos-world) with lust, corrupting and ruining everything. God has given Christ to restore all things. Our salvation has enabled us to escape the corruption of the world by partaking of His divine nature (2 Pet. 1:3, 4). John says that "Every one who has been born of God overcomes the world [the corruption of lusting flesh]" (1 John 5:4).
